That's what I thought it was....
Problem is that we lend the dvds out to family and friends or watch them on the road. For example...6 Feet Under has been watched by Bob and myself, twice by Ali & Rach, my parents and now Ali is watching again with her boyfriend now (slowly working their way through the series in our livingroom or his).
I totally get that the DVR would make a lot of sense for many shows but I'm not entirely sure about it for those things we choose to watch on DVD. >D
