I am working my way through my Dolly Army, trying to take photos amid the vegetation with all of them this Spring/summer.
Yesterday morning the greenery was glowed intensely ~ the kind of vivid, retina burning shades you only get with new growth, and in particular ~ just well watered new growth.
Anyway the hostas had exploded out of the ground and I thought they might make a nice backdrop for a photo...and the boys agreed.
1 rainshower + 2 puki = squeaks of delight, a flurry of clothing dropping to the floor as the imps, Pip and Pikku tore off to streak through the hostas ....*face palm*
Now my puki crew lives in a two story apartment (formerly known as THE BOOK SHELVES) where they are generally to be found, posed into a diorama. This is the other thing I love to do with them ~ set them up in scenes. My tinies rarely just lounge around ~ they are always busy doing something....so here is what they are about currently:
And upon their return, the boys were promptly scolded by Plum for leaving their clothes scattered all over the apartment and ...bringing home yet another pet. THIS one with 6 legs >D

There is a company named Felixdoll, that makes something similar called a Brownie. They are usually about the same price but they just had a major sale in April that had fullsets at 1/4 to 1/3rd the usual price...needless to say it was difficult to resist the cute.
*cough*
Yeah don't ask. I'm officially on a dolly diet. I can't justify even a doll sock until the end of the summer....<__<...if that. ...no seriously. REALLY!
My, you must have a lot of pre-orders or orders if you're on a dolly diet^_~
Going bankrupt because of resin-induced purchases. It's new one.
Not that yours truly is doing better since she's eyeing that Cherish doll....
I told the husband that the dolls are my midlife crisis.
Mr. Money sucking Range Rover just nods and can say little to argue with. All he asks is "Do they make you happy?"
*poor boy*
I am trying to concentrate on domestic things and when I start looking at dolls I walk away from the pc and go play with the ones I have ;)
Only a few, huh?^_^
Well, better dolls than anything else. Though since he's got a Range Rover I suppose he can't protest too much^^
I probably won't see any of these until August...
As for the Range Rover (or Rhino Rammer as I call it) ...that stupid thing has been in the shop so many times it's now a running joke. He admits it wasn't the smartest purchase in his life and I was right to advise him not to buy one...as ontop of the cost of buying and running it, it's worked out to $300 CND a month in repairs since he got it almost 3 years ago. They are CRAP.
THAT is a LOT of dolls I tell ya.
I could buy 4 Soom monthlies for just the cost of his repairs....@_@
Darn right the protests are ....muted. ;)
How long does this promotion last? the little guy above is so adorable^_^
these come fully assembled right?
*grins*
Even here a Range Rover is considered expensive, to say nothing of repairs costs.

*dies laughing*
You sound like me whenever my mom points out a pretty dress or bag and I start calculating how many books/dvds/and recently doll I can buy with that amount! XD
MOMO
ANGEL
When I ordered them, in the first wave of promotions there were slightly different additions to the dolls ~ for example both Adela and Momo came with extra heads...
They then swapped things around and people that ordered over a certain price point got other extras (for first round and 2nd round) so I'm expecting to get a 2nd set of hands now too ...but who knows. It will be like Christmas in summer because the freebes are different for when your ordered and I can't keep up with what they are anymore.
Oh yeah...Zepplin is popular and I would have got him except he didn't come with a sleeping elf head. Apparently they pose better than Puki are are just as well made...according to those who have both kinds of dolls.
The promotion ends soon. I think it's already ended on the US site this week. For that money I'd say they are worth trying it out...but if you are curious, DOA has a thread where they are yapping madly about them and more up to date ...I'm just avoiding most of the chatter and look forward to when they arrive instead of hovering
HERE
A lot of people that wouldn't have tried tinies due to the cost are giving it shot. They are going to be backlogged for a while because people are not buying just one...I am not alone getting 3 for the price of one puki fullset ;)
As for the RR ~ oh yeah...everything goes through my personal mental calculator of how many books or dolls I can buy for the cost of something I find boring XD. Xan and I have been laughing about the MANGA METER in our heads.
Mmm... I'll have to think about it and read their site FAQ since I'll be ordering from there. But the price IS tempting.
The Brownies are cute and affordable but I can see why the Pukis are popular. Puki's face-ups are so much prettier in comparison hence the price tag I guess.

It's nice to see that we've got our priorities straight. *looks innocent*
These things usually go for over $200 so it's the sale that's very different and I think they are really promoting them because Fairyland is much better known and is very popular so I'm convinced they have a lot of stock of clothes and are just trying to move product. That's fine by me....and doesn't really surprise me these days....and there are a lot of people in 13dolls that speak VERY highly of them and paid the big bucks for their first 3 or 4....and they have puki to compare.
The difference is these guys have *heads* and not face plates. I can make a lot of dolls by just changing a puki face plate...not so with brownies. I am going to get a cat(pukisha) faceplate at some point.
As for $ for clothes = $ for books/dolls...yep, we definately have our priorities straight. Everyone else have bent one ;)
Ah, the difference between face plates and heads. I get it now. The cat one is quite cute^_^ if you're going for it. I keep hoping someone will put out an MSD catboy.
And I'm quite fascinated by the little dioramas/scenes that you set up all the time. I like seeing how other people arrange and play with their BJDs. It's always slightly different, person to person. ^___^
I don't personally have any interest in setting up everything from bathrooms to kitchens but it's fasinating to see.
