Thank-you.
*plays catch-up with comments ~ will do this one and then back to wall painting*
I tend to be on *stand-by* for the entire family most of the time, so I flit from one thing to another domestically and do my hobbies in between . I finally got Turq done (pix posted) but messed up his little brother so had to scrub Lapis down last night and start again today.
That's no big deal. It's all part of the fun and learning curve with these things ~ but it does make me wonder if I'll want to get my next MSD with a face-up or not.
OH by the way...restringing might just mean tightening ...and WIRE her. MY GODS the difference that makes in these dolls. I'm going to try that out on Mei's (Sora) body tonight because just tightening the elastic isn't going to make them pose better but HOLA does the wiring work so WELL for them. For your elfkin...white pipecleaners will make the difference between flop monster and brillant little poser :)
Mr Clean Magid Eraser with isopropyl acholol might work but depends on what the substance was. SOMETIMES hair spray fluid will get pen off...good luck with that. If it's inside the neck you it might not matter too much but try to clean it though..
As for the wire ~ electrical wire that is covered in white plastic. NO COLOURED PLASTIC okay? I don't know the gage but it's about the thickness of a pencil crayon lead.
As for tools....well you need a ribbon and I can't emphasize how much you should invest in a set of hymostats/clamps. It makes the doll play simple. They clamp and you don't have to worry about the elastics escaping while you are tying knots or restringing.
A ribbon or thin shoelace is handy to thread things through....
The hymostats should be available at automotive places but I found them really simple to just buy a set on ebay. Not expensive....saves your sanity.
Clothes...oh yeah...dolls are a money pit when they start demanding clothing >D
