Oi what an obitsu weekend...
I started to swap out the chest and torso of my 55cm boy to make him a girl and promptly broke a hip joint. :?
After much whimpering on a forum member or two's shoulder, I was kindly advised on how to deal with the situation. Hip joint replacement in progress...but for now the bits are in a box except the noggin (points to the left)
I vented my frustration last night by scrubbing that sucker clean. He is a used obitsu boy head, with the top cut off & eyes opened. It wasn't until later in the process of this transformation, that I discovered that this is going to be an issue or few: as in keeping the headcap ON and how to get the eyes seated properly. =__=
I am also going to have to score a 30/0 brush, because as small as 18/0 is, it just isn't fine enough. I did try an acrylic paint flow enhancer though, and have solved another one of my problems (sticky paint).

Today I decided to just keep chugging along and spent most of my time on his transformation into my version of Claudette Colbert. I worked up my little Obitsu nano-Haruka too (a 1/6 blank head) while I was at it. WHAT a pouty little thing that sculpt is! I really do like the these heads with eye holes though. The faces are much more lively than the flat painted on faces. It's the best of Jdoll with the mobility of an Obitsu body! :) She's still mid-process into a Kitsune, but for now we have a head on a body, eye installed & face painted. Next up...fox ears and tail.
As for Claudette ~ since her body is currently exploded into many pieces in the box, I had to balance her head on Vivian's neck (different attachment so it was NOT secure) ~ her wig is something I'm still trying to track down...and I apparently I seem to have forgotten that she requires 14mm if not 12mm brown eyes.... .... Ah well... she's a work in progress but then... aren't they all? LOL
