A package of wigs arrived from Jpopdoll last Friday and had double of one type and missing the other two I'd ordered. Naturally the ones missing were the ones intended for the Resinsouls, Mizu and Sora =__=
The shopkeep has informed me this week that they will be replacing the missing wigs and kindly let me keep the extra...although I'm not sure what to do with it yet, and am left to wonder how they are going replace two wigs that are now out of stock. *0__o this should be a neat trick.
Yesterday I recieved an email from Featherfall telling me that my DZ MSD double-jointed boy body has arrived at their end (Vancouver) and an apology that it had taken more than two months ...but I am well aware that this is typica of Dollzone's timelines during holiday promotions so I hadn't even bothered to rattle Apis' cage about it. He's show up eventually ~ no point in filling her mailbox with whinging. Hopefully the resin match to the LaTiblue head is going to be good... *fingers crossed*...as it is very good for the same skin colour of Willow.
I am also going to have a bit of fun and turn Willow into a boy ~ doubtless Kohl will have fits >D.
My package with a replacement hip joint, ordered on Sunday, and wigs for my nano-gretel/haruka and other Obitsu body parts arrived today after having slid under customs radar *yippee!!*
At the same time the postie handed me my Hobbylink order of Mr. Super Clear (protective coating for the dolls) ~ so now I am set for the spring when I'll be able to spray the resins outside and minimize my ongoing brain damage.
Emory at Junkyspot has filed away an order for pair of obitsu pooches, which are now available outside Japan and I'm sitting on a fence about the upcoming release of the mind-blowingly posable 50cm girl in March. She is intended to be the Rita Hayworth to my Greta Garbo (Vivian) and Claudette Corbert (my hip replacement project he/she)....but I am waiting to see how I feel when she's finally made available.
MEANWHILE..ALL the doll companies seem to be cahoots and are simultaniously releasing things to tempt me (and just about everyone else in Dollyworld) ~ those darned Soom chibi demons ~ the Iplehouse new head for the EID LUO (thank goodness I'm not interested in the tanned version and can wait till summer for the regular release of this HE MAN head, ~ then there is the sweet Domadoll Applebin Geul,...and ..and... Batchix Machina is coming out with not one but TWO robo-boys (scroll down to an image of the mock-ups snagged from the artists flocked blog). Not to mention that I am twitching about the release of the Pure Neemo Flection bodies and GAWDs .... last but not least.... there is the Pullip Mir which is the first Pullip I've found to seriously tickle my fancy since the Japanese one last year but meh that's too many directions so I am happy to admire but still ...ARGH!.
No they won't even remotely all be brought home. I'm not THAT nuts...but I am drowning in a puddle of drool.
While I was pondering how doll manufacturers are made of Teh Evil I walked downtown to post some doll items to a friend and pick up my milk order, I went into the independant bookstore next door to the organic shop, to check if any of my magazines on subscription should happen to be in and there was the NEW issue of the dolly rag, HauteDoll on the shelf. They JUST started to carry it. *@_@!!!
Well I'd say that putting my name on a list for subscribing to it through them just about rounded out my doll week.
