Well this morning I woke up and found myself safe from desiring the Soom chibi demons and other dolls mentioned ~ the infatuation drifting away like smoke in a breeze :)
The only one that finds me on a fence are the Batchix robotboy ~ I enjoy following the creators blog, but the fact that I'm questioning how one would fit into my resin family does not bode well for bringing one home...in particular since I am simultaniously keeping a close eye out for a general release for the IP LUO. I want to see owner pics of THAT one before I commit a cent to him. Is he Masa or not? Hmmm.
ANYway ~ I searched up and down through the city for something to make fox tails/ears with, for my 1/6 Obitsu Inari guardian girls and like usual came up goose-egg. No old furs or new funfur that is the colour and texture I have in mind. I finally decided that I just decided to buy some auburn Tibetan Lamb Mohair (still attached to the skin) online and be done with it. At the same time I purchased teal coloured mohair to make Mizu a wig.
I am sick and tired of searching for a wig for that boy online that simply doesn't exist. It's not just a matter of colour, but I am also faced with the very real possibility that it won't fit around his elongated ears.
I have a mohair wig on him that is steel blue/grey and the colour is just not ...right, on top of that it's ackward and won't stay one due to the ears. I've flipped it inside out and scrutinized how it is made ~ this is very do-able. I could modify this one but I don't like the colour....so I will make a mock-up of cloth fitted to his head and a template for the mohair, then sew his wig myself, taking into consideration those elegent auricles of his.
Today I haul out the hair dryer and play Frankendolly with Obitsu and Volks parts and see if I can't cobble Claudette's body together without breaking anything else....including my brain.
