I NEED to get to the gym.
I'm hopeful that the sprog will go with Teh Man somewhere today so I can actually go and lift some weights or I think I am going to go crazy.
One thing I hate about the Christmas holidays is the completely fubar schedule ~ and that's without throwing anything else into the mix. (and Goddess knows there are monkey wrenches being dropped like bread crumbs around this place lately)
I have things to do ~ LOTS of things ~ but I get bogged down with minor nits and then the doldrums of inaction start to work on my brain. Monday can't come soon enough for me. Then the household is emptied of family and I can get back into a routine that makes sense to my brain and body.
I have managed to post half of the cards and actually got a package out in the mail to Xan too. That only took 4 MONTHS *head desk* ~ but this is an accomplishment and I will wrap myself up in that silver lining or die trying.
In the next two days my goal is simply to get the rest of the cards and another package posted AND the Xmas decorations taken down and packed away (no one is volunteering to help with that I've noticed...in fact, anyone who could is making themselves incredibly scarce lately) ~ then I really REALLY need to do a bit of pencil drawing ~ I'm getting itchy for it. I can't decide on what...a sultry Captain Jack Harkness or just a merman or an angel but DAMN IT I want to draw! But I dare not start another project before I finish this card business. Then I am free to sit down for a day and scratch at a piece of paper.... and then back to the curtains and *glances at piles of reptilian fabric*....riiiiight....those other projects that need to be sewn together within a month for a birthday party.
It's all good. *nods to self*.
*stretches and listens to shoulder blades snaping n cracking*.... It will be better if I can get to the gym.
....and I'm throwing out the rest of that cookie dough. I think I've eaten 2/3rds of it (as predicted) and need to remove it from my life.
**EDIT: NO. I'm not getting to the gym today. Teh Man will be out all day, as will the teens so I'm parent on duty for the sprog. I hurt so much I could cry from lack of working out...fine. Can't be helped. Xmas tree comes down first ~ hauling shite up and down 2 flights of stairs with 90 degree turns will be the exercise. *pouts*
He DID go to the market and brought me flowers and a dozen apple fritters. (.__(.
Makes it really hard to be annoyed with him.
*munches on sugar rolled, deep fried appley goodness*
...my heart is warmed by his gesture. My ass though...is not impressed. >__<
*WAILS* MONDAY WHERE ART THOU!!!???
....*totally ignoring common sense which is screaming like a banshee in her head & proceeds to stuff 2nd fritter into mouth*
Anyway....I forgot to share these. When it's cold my windows get all furry and very cool with ice:

thank you *licks fingers*....darn husband knows my weaknesses.
They...I am still doing that. They ARE in my file for Jan 2008 downloads. I just am messed up with the dates still...I had to sign forms yesterday and I kept writing the wrong date down on it. It doesn't help that I have signed so many of my prints this week 2007. @__@
DAMN IT I want to draw!
Yay! Hopefully the last shipment of leads and the pencils added to that :)
There's so much to do around here today as well, but I'm not sure how much will get done. Too much to do, too little time. And the wind is blowing like the gales outside today. One place just reported a gust of 123 mph! Thankfully, our gusts are only in the 50-60 mph range. *rolls eyes*
Okay. Nothing's going to get done with me sitting at the computer. I'm off to see what can be accomplished today. Good luck with your stuff! *hugs*
Yes that last shipment of leads definately got me thinking...and thinking and yearning....I used some of the leads you'd sent me when I was doing my sketches for the new years cards and that just got my juices flowing even faster...>__<
As for things to do around the house. I think the operative word is *chip away*...it's the only way we'll be able to tackle all this stuff as a whole without giving up in dispair!!!
*wow* windy...glad things are pretty calm and just melty around here. In fact by Monday the school yards should be just one big mudpuddle. OH GOODY.
*poor kids*...all they want is some snow to roll around in like puppies...and all the teachers want is kids that are not resembling little piggies when they come in from their recesses >__
Oh, and I didn't need to do any cropping at all! :)
With winds like what we have today, we could just put the kids into harnesses and fly them like kites outside and miss the whole mud thing. XD
*wanders off to chip away at some of the 'to do' list*
