I was just finishing up with my emails and commenting to Tam about the temperatures going up and snow melting....and I thought to give a glance to the awing over the back door. When the snow starts melting we get icicles on the roof that melt onto the awning and make new ones there ~ and these looked cool.
I grabbed the camera and stepped out the door to snap a few pictures. It's overcast with very little light...these would be dim pictures at best....and I was dodging droplets of icy water as I tried to get a few images without getting water on the lense ~ all the while wondering how long these things would last.
I turned, went inside and slid the door shut with a thud. Five steps to the pc, and plug the flash card in....and sooner had I started uploading the images when there was a rumble-slide-thud. The ice was gone from the overhanging. Good timing or what?
NO...these are NOT upside down. These things literally form in the oddest shapes as they melt and slowly slide off the awning...
