I thought you might want to see what is behind the door that is opened up and in the way when you look to the left after stepping in.
I LOVE my big old front hall way....lots of room to put on coats and boots. A far cry from the one person entrance of my old home.

I am currently having a rethink on where to put all this stuff, and cleared off my night table which had become a circus act of balancing books. Much in this pile is currently recieved/read material that will be filed on the yaoi shelves....

Such as this one shoved into a spare corner of my room.
Or onto one of these shelves on the other side of my room. It will be a major undertaking to sort through these things and make room for the new volumes ~ leaving gaps for those to follow.

This is downstairs in the ....er....reading room/library. This it technically the dining room, but we have never used it for that purpose. Now it holds a LOT of books, a few comfy chairs and space for the sprog to set up his dinos and actionfigures to play.
THESE manga and graphic novels are my NOT read items. Believe it or not...that top shelf is double stacked with manga and behind it are novels that ARE read. Those shelves are DEEP...*thank goodness*. Anyway ~ here is where my pre-orders go till I am ready to grab it on the way to the gym or play the waiting game on the husband or kids.

AND this is my Japanese language bookshelf....djs and raw tankobons. This will be re-organized over the course of the next few months as I figure out the best way to store things (kimono/furoku) and make my sewing books easier to grab. I also tend to keep my books about manga history here and will retain a shelf for my figures.
....hard to believe I took anything to the attic. (.__(.
