*^___^*
Gotta love it when you scroll down your flist (and half of mine is RSS feeds from various blogs I follow) and find one of the Gayboy-bloggers has just discovered Theban Band's slash artwork bigtime, indepth, and is musing on Boromir x Aragorn images... and that this pairing never occured to him. He likes it....but why did he never see the potential Boromir held?
Man is this a case of someones GAYdar being SNAFU'd when watching LoTRs? The *vibes* in the *My-Captain-my-brother scene* were rather like a waraxe over the head....how could that pairing be a surprise?!
Having said that...maybe it's just a matter of taste. Gondor slash was always a small fandom compared to anything involving the eternal twinks of elfland...maybe that's a gay-thing AND a slasher-gal thing.
It just occured to me...it Kind of makes sense ...calling an elf a twinkie, as both their shelf lives are abnormally long :P
That aside...I had just assumed that since the blogger shares lots and LOTS of piccies of beautiful MEN,that he'd have naturally seen that pairing. Boromir was THE one that made me sit up in my seat (at the theatre) and go *OMG....a MAN!!*...as if I'd not seen oe in about a decade. *fans self at the memory*.....mmmmboromirxaragornpurrrrrrr

I don't get it. Explain please?^_^
The reason young, slender, gay males are called Twinks (twinkies) is that they are ...sweet, fresh and cream filled. *cough*
.....but this cake is notoriously known for being filled with chemicals and has an absurdly long shelf life. In fact I have a book that deconstructs the ingredients of the twinkie....because it is such an iconic junk/snackfood in NA and considered by many to (urban myth) to stay fresh for a month...
rather long for cake. :)
The book is fascinating by the way....because it talks about where all the contents (from eggs and flour to EVERY chemical in the twinkie comes from and why it is used)....I will never eat a Twinkie or other processed cake as long as I live. >P
I called elves twinkies because they are skinny and youthful and last forever. :)
Unless you kill one...or eat it. Which orcs do...~__^
*coughs, then dies laughing*
It seems one learns something new everyday! XD
Seriously though, I've heard the word several times among US fans but I never caught on to the real meaning. I thought it was some kind of junk food, which I suppose it is. We have something similar sold here but they're rolls.
What's the book title?
Aww, the elves' feelings will be hurt^_~
OH dear....
Actually I'm having this really strong urge to read some SHARPE books again....in particular Shapes' Sword.
I might not be having a Boromir moment but rather a HOTNESS THY NAME IS SEAN BEAN moment. *@_@
As for granny...BWAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAH!!! I LIKE her! :)
*admits to a slight yearning oneself*
BUT nicely there were no urges involved...well beside pulling out my copy of SHARPES SWORD and wallowing in some Napoleonic era goodness with Sean Bean's mug firmly stuck in my head :)
