I joined a forum the other day, one that is generally about these dolls and not make/model/type specific ~ which most other forums tend to be...in a doll-nazi sorta way.
ANYhoo ~ I discovered something there when I was poking about ~ people take pictures of their dolls and even better...the do *photo stories* with them.
It's all great fun to see what people do with their variety of dolls and when I introduced myself and my Obitsu (model) boys and J-doll...someone remarked that the fellas looked like they wanted clothing and were waiting patiently for me to cough some up.
That got me to thinking and my creative itch needed scratching immediately ~ so while the guys were paving my driveway today I got busy ....below is the image rich tale that evolved from that thought.
But I Want Clothing Too
It's like I've been saying...just 'cause we're guys doesn't mean we don't deserve clothing.
I mean...sure we've been standing around starkers for years...
And sure I like it all hanging out, but we never had an audience before ...
It was all fine till ...they showed up on the scene.
YEARS we've spent kicking around the desk with nothing to cover us but dust...
But the minute a girl arrives on the scene...I suddenly feel down right naked. I mean if they were lounging around nude I'm not so sure I'd care...
And your point is?
....my POINT is there they sit all day long...
...giggling and chattering while covered up in cloth.
Makes you wonder what their laughing about all the time.
Come on...

I've watched her organize fabric into these drawers. We just have to find something the right size ....
And then we can make clothes out of them....

Geez hard to get a good grip on this stuff. Who said anything about sewing....I thought we could just you know...tie something on and cover our...plastic bits...

Well I think she was pretty cool about it. Didn't stuff us into a cardboard box or anything...and look...
She gave us this book of patterns to check out and pick something we'd like to wear.
What do you think?
...DUDE....they're dresses.
....um...says here they're called hakama...sort of like long flowy pants.
...the aristocracy of Japan wore them. We get to dress like royalty...in silk even!!
I don't care....they look like dresses to me and I'd rather go naked than wear something that makes me look like a queen.

Very good story with wonderful photo illustrations. So, did you post this tale of a cover-up on the forum? I think they'd get a kick out of it.
...and BOY do some of these people put a LOT of work into their hobby *0__0!!!!
